Directions

Step 1 Of 11
1
Preheat your grill to 450°F.
2
In a small bowl, combine all the ingredients for the BBQ dry rub. Set aside.
3
In a medium skillet, combine all the ingredients for the BBQ sauce. Whisk together and set aside.
4
Drain and rinse your canned jackfruit. Cut off the hard pieces off the ends of each piece of jackfruit.
5
Add jackfruit to a large bowl. Drizzle oil across and very gently combine. Sprinkle the dry rub across and very gently combine.
6
Push 5 to 6 pieces of seasoned jackfruit onto a skewer. Repeat until no pieces of jackfruit remain.
7
Place skewers onto grill and cook for 3 to 4 minutes. Carefully flip and then cook another 3 to 4 minutes.
8
● After flipping, turn on the side burner of your grill to medium-low heat. Add skillet with BBQ sauce.
9
After cooked, push the jackfruit off the skewers and into the BBQ sauce. Stir together. It’s ok if the jackfruit breaks apart in the sauce.
10
Cook for 20 minutes, stirring often. Turn down heat if it starts to stick.
11
Remove from the burner and add jackfruit and sauce to a plate. Using two forks, shred the jackfruit then add to taco shells with any additional toppings.
