Our Lemon-Garlic Chicken Breast is zesty, savory and bursting with robust flavors. It gets a spicy kick from a lemon garlic marinade with hot pepper flakes. Then it’s grilled to tender, juicy deliciousness. Serve with some veggies on the side for a healthy meal that’s full of flavor.

We made this recipe on the Performance Series™ 4-Burner Gas Grill, but you can make it on your grill.

Ingredients

For the Chicken

  • 6 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless

For the Lemon Garlic Marinade

  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 2/3 cup olive oil

In a medium-size bowl, combine garlic, oregano, mustard, salt, hot pepper flakes, black pepper, lemon juice and olive oil.

Place chicken breasts into a plastic zip-top bag. Pour marinade into the bag, seal and refrigerate for 4 to 6 hours.

Preheat grill to 400°F.

Place chicken breasts on hot grill grates. Cook until the internal temperature reaches 165°F, 8 to 10 minutes per side.

Remove chicken from the grill and rest for 10 minutes.
Hot Tip
Giving your meat the time, it needs to rest allows juices to redistribute, retaining moisture for tender meat. The internal temperature will continue to rise 10 to 15 degrees until it levels out and then begins to fall.
