Seasoned with garlic, honey and lemon zest, these Grilled Sugar Snap Peas are sweet and savory. A cross between snow peas and English peas, sugar snaps have an edible pod with small peas. They retain their crispiness when grilled and are irresistible when dipped in homemade bacon ranch dressing. These sweet, tender vegetables are delicious when served in a salad or as a side dish too.

Ingredient Tips

Sugar Snap Peas
Similar to snow peas, sugar snap peas are plumper and have a thicker shell. The pods should be bright green and crisp. When broken in half, they should make a snapping sound.

Step 1 Of 7
Preheat your grill to 350°F.
In a medium-size bowl, combine mayonnaise, buttermilk, bacon, garlic, shallot, lemon juice, parsley, dill, salt and pepper. Set aside in the refrigerator.
Spread snap peas evenly across a grill topper and place onto hot grill grates.
Grill for 6 to 8 minutes per side, then remove from grill.
In a large bowl, combine garlic, honey, oregano, salt, lemon zest and pepper. Add grilled snap peas to the mix and toss to coat evenly.
Place the seasoned snap peas back on the grill. Cook for 2 minutes per side.
Remove from grill and serve with bacon ranch dressing.
