Ingredients

FOR THE BURGER

  • 2 pounds ground beef, 80/20
  • 2 tablespoons kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 3 poblano chiles, halved, de-seeded
  • 1 avocado
  • 6 slices Monterey Jack cheese
  • 6 burger buns
  • lettuce
  • tomato
  • red onion

Directions

Step 1 Of 6
1
Preheat one side of your grill to 400°F and the other to 300°F.
2
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, salt, pepper and garlic. Form into 6 patties.
3
Place burgers on 400°F side and poblano chilis on 300°F side.
4
Cook burgers for 5 minutes. Flip and cook for another 5-7 minutes for medium-rare patties. Top with Monterey Jack cheese for the last minute to melt the cheese.
5
Occasionally turn poblano chilis to avoid burning them. Remove or place on top warming rack when charred to your liking.
6
Assemble burger with poblano chili, lettuce, tomato, avocado and your favorite condiments.
