Pork Pineapple Teriyaki Burgers
Host a luau in your own backyard with these Pork Pineapple Teriyaki Burgers. A little bit salty and a little bit sweet, this Hawaiian-style recipe strikes the perfect balance for your next spring or summer BBQ.
Mix the ground pork and bread crumbs together in a large bowl. Then, form into 4 patties.
Place the pork patties and pineapple slices on the grill, with pork patties on one side of the grill and pineapple on other.
Decrease the heat on the side with your pineapple to 300°F. Let the pork and pineapple grill for 6 minutes.
In a saucepan, dissolve the cornstarch in 1 cup of cool water. Then mix in soy sauce, honey, garlic and ginger. Boil for about 4 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Flip the burgers and pineapple slices. Brush them with teriyaki sauce, close the lid and grill for 6 minutes.
Serve on toasted bun. Add lettuce, pork patty, a pineapple slice and your favorite condiments.
