Marinated Chicken Skewers with Lemon White Sauce

These hearty, savory skewers are packed with well-seasoned chicken, beef, peppers and onions cooked over the grill for delicious char and smoky flavor. Serve alongside a creamy, zesty lemon white sauce and a squeeze of grilled lemon for a healthy and refreshing appetizer or full dinner right off the skewer.

Ingredients

For the Skewers

  • 1 lbs Chicken Breast
  • 1 lbs Beef
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Sriracha
  • 2 Tbsp Dijon Mustard
  • Salt
  • Garlic Powder
  • Onion Powder
  • Cayenne Pepper
  • 2 Bell Peppers
  • 1 Sweet Onion
  • 2 Halved Lemons

For the White Sauce

  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream
  • 1/2 cup Greek Yogurt
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • Squeeze of Fresh Lemon Juice
  • Dried Basil
  • Cayenne Pepper
  • Parsley

Cut the chicken and beef into large cubes and place in a large bowl.

Add soy sauce, sriracha and dijon mustard and season with salt, garlic powder, onion powder and cayenne pepper to taste. Mix and let marinate for at least 15 minutes.

Preheat your grill to 400ºF.

Cut the bell peppers and onions onto chunks.

When the meat is ready, build the skewers by adding alternating pieces of meat, bell pepper and onion to fill each skewer.

Place the skewers on the hot grill and close the lid. Allow to cook for 10 minutes.

While the skewers cook, make your white sauce by combining all ingredients in a bowl with seasonings to taste. Mix well and then put in the fridge until ready to use.

After about 10 minutes, flip the skewers and then add the halved lemons to your griddle or grill to allow them to caramelize and char for at least 5 minutes.
9.
Once the chicken has hit an internal temperature of 165ºF, remove everything from the grill.

Serve the skewers with white sauce and grilled lemon.
